So Long, Forgotten.

It was so long from the last time I rant about everything in here. This might be due to
1. Trouble trying to find times to sit down and write
2. Unable to find suitable subject to rant about
3. Was send away to Pandora to help the blue monkey jumping from tree to tree
4. Just plain lazy

Well, I would love to pick item 2 as my reason but actually I have so many things to share and write about and now the reason is clear that I am on item 4.

Today; exactly just before I log to blogger.com, I was actually trying to log into myGovernment Portal to do some 'Urusan Atas Talian' as per advertise so much in TV off late. To cut short I was bounce from the portal into MyGovernment Portal.

And the portal request me to click on the link to Online Services. OK. Click.

Login. OK. Just a registration, shouldn't take long right? So I click on the 'Not a member? Please sign up' link. Click. Nothing happen. Click again. Nothing. Clicking on the link given doesn't bring me anywhere and there is only a Login Box and nothing else. Not even a 'Home' button that I could use. "it's OK" does show in this page as anybody could just press back to return to the portal and figure out another way. How about those who are not used to internet registration and hoping to use this facilities as show on TV where a guy sitting in a warong getting online to the portal. GOOD JOB!!

OK. Now I'm on the registration page. Just filled it out. After all it is FREE. butttt... I found out my IC number has already registered on this portal. Wow~ I could not even remember when I did come here and register. But what is my User ID and Password. So I click on the 'Forgot your ID or password' link. And ...

Yups. Instead of asking for the email address. They ask for my UserID when I already forgotten my UserID.

I've send an email to their admin@portal.gov.my and hope they could get back to me with a solution.

BUT SERIOUSLY! while using the portal I was given service unavailable for 2 times. (Unluckyly, I did not make a print screen of it as proof) It was like a server powered by Pentium 2 processor on an dial-up line. Hello!! It is like few days from 2010, and the government portal was like from the 90's. Slow, 50% Untest and not that user friendly and more syok sendiri. I guess all the money allocate for this project goes to the advertising cost that came out on TV during prime time. causing them to not able to afford an affordable host with good bandwidth. THIS is sucks. Too ambitious and not well executed. Arghh!!

but I wouldn't suggest RCI to be form for this. the money that would be use to set the RCI could be channel to make this portal more usable and friendly. ;-)

Don't bother, she's not there...

Well let me tell you about the way she move, the way she acted and the color of her hair. Her voice was soft and cool, her eyes were clear and bright, but she's not there.

Nope. THAT IS NOT FROM ME. It is actually a lyric from the band The Zombie back in the '60s. I heard it on Bfm on the way back from office one day and reside in my head forever since. Upon reaching home that night I quickly goo.gl a bit of the lyrics that I could make of and wallah, a few version of the song She’s Not There came out as the result.

Then, using the song title, I search for the song on youtube and found a few. One is from the legend Santana then another one from The Zombie which I never heard before. The release date of the vidz was in the 60's so I assume it was the original and brave myself to click on the link.

The Zombie - She's not there

Yes... I know... It is the popular style of the 60's and from the sound of the hysterical shouting girl, there's no doubt the band is popular too.(Well, the song still nice to be heard even in the 00's and it will still be in the 10's). Even though the image does bring down the enthusiast that was hype from my radio listening to video watching, I can't say that totally destroy the sweetness of the lyrics and the musical rhythm that this piece of art bring.

Next, I click on the Santana version and it is a live concert. Being Santana, the guitar work as usual overworked and niceeeeeeeeee~!! I do enjoy both version but I really ‘bluerghh’ a club music version of this song that totally diluted the sweetness and kill the mood of the song.

Santana - She's not there (live)

How should I put this song actually? It is very sweet song and nicely composes music. It has a mood of uncaring about a strong feeling that he has toward a girl and in the end he just don't care anymore. It doesn't bring sadness but it does show in the way he sings it. I just love this song so much! I thank Bfm for playing those great oldies song. My generation needs that. Btw, you can listen to it online @ live.bfm.my but be warned, it is not just entertainment over there. They have other great stuff too like talk-show and interview but I guess others won't like it soo much. There's music only sunday and saturday but there's football live telecast on saturday and I'm not a big fan. Enough promoting Bfm. I'm paid to do so but I do enjoy sharing it with you guys.. ;-). Anyway, I share with you the lyrics of the song I was talking about earlier. Enjoy!! ^_^

The Zombies - She's Not There Lyrics

Well, no one told me about her

The way she lied

Well, no one told me about her

How many people cried

Well, it's too late to say you're sorry

How would I know, why should I care

Please don't bother trying to find her

She's not there...oh oh oh

Nobody told me about her

What could I do

Well, nobody told me about her

Though they all knew

Well, it's too late to say you're sorry

How would I know, why should I care

Please don't bother trying to find her

She's not there....

Well, let me tell you about the way she looked

The way she acted, the color of her hair

Her voice is soft and cool

Her eyes are clear and bright

But she's not there...

Internet URL : Getting Easy or Lazy but in the end you need to learn another language

Do you realize that the URL’s have been shortened lately?

For Facebook user, just type fb.me and it will redirect you to facebook.com, so there's no need to type longer to get into the website for those who in 'emergency' of getting into the website.

Apparently, Google had already on the wagon and introduce goo.gl. It is fun guessing what page it will lead but this is mainly to help those who on mobile internet phone to save them the hassle. But they won’t mind twittering on the mobile or updating their fb status from their phone, I guess they won’t mind typing the longer version of the URL right?

Don’t get me started on the foreign language URL. Internet was about borderless world but with the foreign language URL introduced, the barrier has been put. Anyhow, you can climb over the barrier with the Translator available for free online. It won’t stop you from getting there, but it will slow you down.

Sharing my ear food.<-- sound gross but it is not.

I found out about this song from my wife who before that force me into watching a very nice, simple and heart warming (at least to me) movie called Once. The main actor(Glen Hansard) actually have a band called Interference and this is a song by them called Gold(it is also a soundtrack from the movie) Enjoy. Anyway, the movie itself is a must watch and could be one of your collection. Can be found @ Speedy Video everywhere and it's cheap and worth it.

Interference - Gold lyric

And I love her so

I wouldn't trade her for gold

Walking on moonbeams

I was born with a silver spoon

Hell I'm gonna be me

Gonna be free

Walking on moonbeams

And staring out to sea

And if a door be closed

Then a row of homes start building

And tear your curtains down

For sunlight is like gold

Hell you better be you

Do what you can do

Walking on moonbeams

And staring out to sea

'Cause if your skin was soil

How long do you think before they'd start digging

And if your life was gold

How long do you think you'd stay living

And I love her so

I wouldn't trade her for gold

I'm back~!!.. sort of ^_^

After soooo long, I've decided to blog again. But now, I'm not sure what to blog about. I'm thinking..

1) SoPo blog - too much and too exaggerated. I enjoy reading people's writing style while giving their own political favorite a big wave either by defending or condemning the opposition. While SoPo should all be about discussion and fact, I find it hard to find a single blog where all the participant use good and avoid being childish by calling name and using harsh word. No intellectual in it at all, don't let me start with the political forum. To me politic should be about caring of the people well being and development as to give good life to the people who elect them to the seat. How about talk on how to lower the living cost in the city like KL, where RM3000 a month consider a poor. There's no minimum wage in Malaysia so how are the non-exec people who earn RM600-700 want to survive on a RM300 per month rent and RM10 per person/month meal? Let me stop the politics here, I'll let you know if I manage to find a good and honest politic stand that we all can put our feet on from across the world.

2) A Me blog - maybe not... my life is and will always be filled with much excitement so I decide not to share it with anyone(except my lvly wifey). You go out and live your life, OK? and good luck with that.

3) Music blog - my band day's had just started like 1-2 years ago. I may share some of the places you might like to pop your head to but I'm no professional and not so much having too many invite to perform so this might a be a small portion of this blog.

4) Arts blog - my band's drummer started to blog lately and she's now pulling all sort of poem from her magic black book into her blog. I'll put here on my blogroll once I know how to do it later. Back to my blog, well... I guess this could contribute as well. I'm no good at creative writing nor I have a DSLR to share my different perspective but I'll give myself a green look and give it a try.

5) Auto blog - just go to PaulTan.org and have your fix there, man. I do that too.

6) How to get rich blog - it is actually how you as the visitor who happen to be trick into this sort of blog and buy some sort of e-book which you may or may not read. They will get you really excited and in the end it is them who make 20 cent out of your purchase and you made none.

7) fashion blog - is black and white a fashion? or a tshirt and a jeans consider fashion? If you vote for yes, I think I will start one and drive the fashion world with two tone color and a torn-up jeans to go.

8) Porno blog - opps. let's not go there.

9) Satire blog - I do enjoy this kind of blog and it goes well with SoPo theme blog, seeing too many court summons flying around the blogosphere made me think trillion time to put such.

10) Jokes Collection blog - What has two thumb and have no idea how to make u laugh? me

11) Weird discoveries blog - just turn away from the net for a while and go find a mirror. Well done~!!

Well, by now I'm running out of ideas already, I'll theme my blog as we go. How long will we go? I'm not sure. I was actually trying to view the templates of this blog and since blogger.com won't allow me to do so without having any post, I've to put up something right? So this is actually a test post.
